Leadership Traits Game

WHAT DOES A GOOD LEADER LOOK LIKE?

Instructions

  1. Have paper (large enough for a person to lie on) on the floor (giant butcher paper or several pieces of flip chart taped together)
  2. Get a participant to lie on the paper & have another participant draw around them
  3. Identify some people who like drawing (two or three from the group) & give them pens
  4. Ask the group to identify leadership traits & come up with ways for the ‘artists’ to represent these by drawing them on the person

Examples

These are some of the traits our group came up with & what they drew but there are lots more & your group will come up with their own examples & representations.

  • Honesty – a camera round the persons neck (the camera never lies!)
  • Ideas & thinking things through – a big brain
  • Being a role model – giant shoes (for big footsteps to follow)
  • Caring – a big heart
  • Listening – giant ears
  • Communicating – a big mouth
  • Not giving up – big teeth (for gripping on & not letting go)
  • Sensible Risk Taking – skates & knee & elbow pads
  • Taking Action / Just Do It – big hands
  • Motivation – rocket pack
